Don't Forget the Yen

Much ado about USD rebounds during falling markets, but JPY strength still outperforms USD.

Hi Ashraf,

Looks like some correction in USDJPY today. Do you think JPY will weaken further in the short term? Most of the equities market are rallying to new highs, can we still refer to the JPY as the main carry trade currency?

Thanks.

no worries radu. sometimes traders pay too much attention to the "noise" in the markets.

radu, 1) im on vacation and im not following the market minute by minute 2) and when i do watch the markets i do not give it much importance due to the extremely low volumes. Asia gets ready to go on vacation.

Ok , i understand your point , but can you give me a explanation for yesterday"s moves for nzd with all pairs ? i do not have for the moment any positon on nzd - i just track it every day and i"m a little confused... first i was thinked to some carry trades regularizations on the final days on this year , but with all pairs ??
And congrats for very good call for usd/jpy , i booked some profits - on my platform was 92.251 today max

THANKS

radu, It is the USD that is the biggest winner and not NZD. i see more downside for NZD. 0.7020s coming up in a few weeks.

Hey Ashraf ,

Looks like NZD is the big winner today

Where do you see the kiwi these days or next weeks ? Do you think it has enough steam to break to november highs or more (the octomber highs ) ?

Thanks in advance

Looks like the "Yen" sign disappeared. I was refering to a story about USDJPY = 80 early next year. What are your thoughts on that?
