I should just ask for a buck every time I hear that Soros parallel. He's in New York though, and not really Hungarian. But here's a fun excercise: name a famous Hungarian quickly other than Soros. :))

Also realize, that there was two kinds of scalping in discussion. Read better. :)

500K will not move the market, not even 1 pip. What you're referring to though is offers submitted inside the spread - that's a totally different ball game and it is essential to screen for such fishing. However if you try to hit one of those, you'll see all the inside offers on that side withdraw instantly and the true spread appears.

And there's always a bigger fish. Usually they're quite complacent in giving up pips for the benefit of those who are willing to pick those up and are fast enough to swim with them sharks.

Yeah Mach, some of scalping bots do pretty well trading narrow range inbetween sessions. That is until guys get greedy and let the bot run into the asian session. Then their entire evenings work +++ gets blown :-)

ah.. so you actually don't push the market, just swim against flow for a bit?..

2nd up candle close at 4280 was highly debatable imo as only just kissed 8sma. I went long on the 1 hr at 4250 for min expectation of 4290 first TP.

sure Mach.. still big buks needed to push few pips even in slow market?.. I often see 500K positions floating up and down on EBS but these get easily swallowed by bigger fish.. which one are you? :) or don't I need to ask that either..

Dave: Yes, that's when I'm having a ball, also before 8 am CET. All Anglo-Saxon holidays are extremely profitable too. :) But there are plenty of times to scalp even during a day like yesterday or today. Of course, at such times 'regular' scalping, that is, in the direction of trend, sitting on a wave, and pretty much letting it carry me a little. Then wait for the next wave. Like surfers trying to catch a wave, except I don't stand up on the board, I just want to get to the shore alive. :)

Ignore: I'm in Central Europe, meaning the Budapest-Vienna-Murter triangle.
