i think the ecb moved in to prop the eur up and buy it some time...i think its inevitable that eur prob heading much lower an back in jan when ashraf was calling 127-1.18 level with a slight chance of 115..was way too early and had it continued to fall in jan by the time we reached this point(gahdaffi) im sure we would be sitting @ parity:)..im sure these central bankers kno of every geopolitical situations or any situation that will dramatically effect fx worlds well in advance..:(..like king said inflation will peak out- now giving a figure of 5% from current 4.4%- so a lil more upside b4 falling back to normal levels..that works well with military action prob going to end in next 1-2weeks bring some calm to lybia and oil might pull back which might bring down uk+eur inflation figures ...so thats my veiw on it:)..gl:)

Would not be surprised if Trichet does not raise interest rates at next meeting and
blames it on the Japanese situation, l was surprised that he came out so blatently
about a raise in april as he usually keeps his cards close to his chest, knowing
it would give the euro a huge boost, don't know what game he's playing
