Yes Docs are all human. There were far too many managers going around in ever decreasing circles.

I know what you mean about UK and US. Would be lovely idea. We like blood bros imo.

And if you compare NHS costs to the system in the US you will find the US is completely screwed by the insurance companies involvement.

you mean we become an offshore tax haven for the US---lol.

I don't agree the NHS is useless. It is more often brilliant than not, you just hear all the bad things.

Two things happened to the NHS. Gordon Brown under pressure from Blair released the purse strings to inject unaffordable sums of money to reduce wait times or whatever. He then failed dismally to regulate the way that money was spent within the NHS.

Doctors and consultants are in the main intelligent folk, much more intelligent than no-more-boom-and-bust Brown. The doctors and consultants slyly took most of the extra funds for themselves, to increase their remuneration and reduce their work commitments. This also spun off onto GP's who are all running their own businesses. The extra funding for the NHS was a disastrous burden upon the taxpayer.

The second significant problem for the NHS is they have never managed to keep ahead of our massive population increase over the last 30 yrs, lack of effective border controls. Plain and simple political incompetence.

My wife's family are all medical so I know what goes on behind the scenes. GP's are vastly overpaid and underworked covering weekends and nights. They all have a wonderful little business which is recession proof, guaranteed customer base.

Don't blame the NHS, blame the stupid politicians.

And EU human rights regulations prevent us from deporting even the most outrageous sex offenders and Islamic terrorists. The country is reverting to the lowest common denominator, courtesy of Brussels. Time to regain British sovereignty or sink off the face of the earth with EU madness. Majority opinion in "intelligent" circles is to exit the EU. Nigel Farage, labelled the clown, represents the majority opinion. Winds of change at last !
