Its simple, gold "inverse" correlation with stocks still in effect ! When the correlation changes back to positive we shall know the fear factor has dissipated.

NYSE internals solid trend up today so far. Vix currently in a triangle formation.

No new low below the SPX tuesday low so the expected ret still holds good.

Gold is having some difficulty breaking through the 127.2% ext of the swing up from Jan low to the 2nd May high. Pattern calls for a ret rather than long term top. If a temporary high is in now for the current wave 3 or 3:3 we should be looking for wave 4 corrective down to 1685 to 1646. A move below 1722 would alert.

If gold continues up from here I have c.1895 next projection. Current high at 1813.6 basis futures or 1814.6 spot.
