Pipacahontas. Since no one has answered your Q I will have a stab.

Depends a bit on what timeframes you wish to play. For intra day the gbpusd and eurusd are two of the most liquid pairs with tight spreads and with good daily ranges but the time zone for these pairs may not suit you. I would say to stay away from JPY and CHF pairs.

Less volatile pairs which can trend well are GBPAUD, AUDUSD, EURAUD. You have a lot of choice but probably wise to focus on just one or two pairs and become expert with their characters. gt and gl.

@Catnip: You have praised "Dr Ben" here in the past. You might appreciate this article, if you have not already seen it:
https://www.mcssl.com/content/166063/CC/021611_CC_final.pdf

(You might need to have signed up for their free newsletter before being able to see it. A google on the title, "What if Ben is right and the doom-and-gloom crowd is wrong?", might possibly pull up a copy.

(There is a plug for their services at the end, which can be ignored, but there is genuine content ahead of that).

Chloe, my comments re the DX were only for next 24/48hrs relating to open position ignore running.

ref german nyse merger it also looks like france and germany have strong aspirations for becoming world banking and trading regulators. London are convinced they are out to weaken the city's current status as #2 financial centre of the world second only to NY. EU continues to be a thorn in the side of GREAT Britain.

@forum..i wonder if theres a explosive catylyst waitn to go off with this merger/takeover of nyse with the germans?? might be thething the traders use to sell off the dow s&p to show theredis-pleasure in the deal..those boys got a ton of pride an 10 tons of ego..im sure there not going to like there iconic brand being taken over by the germans lol..i think theres something here possible..watch it as it unfolds ..still no new name yet but lots of hushhush....:( gl guys:)
