yes indeed....i nourish suspicion here...could the FED really exit bond buying program?
The strength meter displays interbank trade with volumes and a big
USD buying started after the minutes...and 30 y yield skyrocketed
how does that fit?
I smell a kind of coordinated action ....

You made pretty good short call for EUR, perfect timing cat, bet you surprised yourself.

I can't help feeling the fomc minutes today a massive contradiction by design.

No just not. USDx jumped after FED minutes and just before FED minutes Geithner said I cannot stand that anymore. EUR short wasn't bad after all.

The philosopher's take:

It is most consequent to assume the universe began with a fiscal cliff.
It is even more consequent to predict it will end going down the final not negotiable fiscal cliff. Thus we don't need the nasty and pointless mathematical noise from physicists any more, and neither serene objections from bible koran qabbala sholars, as the truth is simple and plain:
the universe is an expression of some creator god kicking the can further down the road until simple financial mathematics has its way. Cliff road. One way. Dead end

All this congress excitement and skipper adrift at sea, I don't know how you could possibly miss it. Time to return now, hoist the main sail @ skipper.
