Currency war is becoming Cold'war

This Bank levy looks like an embargo! what will be the political reaction from the Duma? why the european attack russia ? Russian have helped european on greece. Where, the european will find their gaz ?

Short all eurusd rebounds, I don't think it will close the gap. and be cautious to the ECB.

Seeing reports that the Russian Deputy Finance Minister says the levy would be fair if it was imposed on deposit interest earnings.

The Cyprus news makes the closing of the gap in EURUSD seem that much harder. I'd imagine a ton of sell orders being placed around the 1.3 level... Whatever happens tomorrow is going to be interesting!!

What sense is there in keeping money in a European bank, earning little or no interest, where it can be looted over night?

You would think that one might be better off with keeping their euros under their pillow but, even while under the pillow, euros can still be looted by devaluation.

So, why hold Euros?
