@Catnip: Nice trade. I suppose that technical types might call that a range trade, and see it going down to the ~0.8650s or maybe lower.

All I ever seem to do with EUR/GBP is buy the highs and sell the lows! :-)

Changing the subject, I notice the USD is perking up a bit.

are they going to issue in euro? . for me that confirm the coming trend in euro. in case this trend occurs to be right well they will have to issue euro denominated bond at low maturity.

BERLIN (Dow Jones)--Financial aid for Greece from the euro zone would violate the currency bloc's founding treaty, a group of leading German think tanks said Thursday.
In their biannual report on the German and world economies, the institutes said that if euro-zone countries decide to implement their EUR30 billion aid plan, the International Monetary Fund must play an important role in supervising the distribution of the funds.
"However, such aid contradicts the spirit of the Maastricht treaty," the institutes said, referring to the 1991 pact that serves as a foundation for the 16-nation currency bloc.

... they suddenly found out after weeks of talking... muhahaha ... no jokes, this is ridiculous.
