I don't think Merkel's plan to let Greece default and leave EUR has a chance to succeed. Of course such a move would lift EUR for a while above 1.35 while a bailout would not remove doubts that Greece can repay notes that mature in 2011 hence EUR would hang around 1.34

Ashraf,
I have double long EUR/USD at 1.290 and 1.330. My target is 1.380 and 1.40.....

Why do you think EUR/USD will go to 1.270? I think you are wrong on this...........

@macrosam: a 200-300pips gap? :) Im not sure if it's even possible. I mean, I remember 300-400pips days during the post-Lehman period of the crysis, but 200-300pips weekend gap only because of a bad news about Greece? Oh common :) In the meantime, Im positioning myself for 1.2000 eurusd ;)

macrosam...what is your fundamental explanation for the gap down of 200-300 pips on Sunday? You feel that bad news will come from Greece during the weekend?

Depending on how far we rally during the U.S. hours, that is.

I am positioning for a huge, huge gap down on Sunday. 200-300 pips down.
