If you start with oil price at the year of the Lord 1900 you must account for CPI. In terms of the price of not contaminated carrots oil now april 2011 is damn' cheap. It is even cheaper in terms of price of deep freezers. And if you use logarithmic scale it gets more confusing because log(n) for n less 1 becomes negative. You see charts are first of all: confusing.

ok thanks dave..yes that would be a good example but only the top line flaring out..but after looking @ it i just had to draw it differently to get the tops to connect correctly..im looking @ the cco chart for a friend and now it looks like 27.40 might b top of his chanel..so i suggested there could b a good exit for him as previous price action shows decent respect of top trendline..thanks gl:)

Chloe, dont understand "flaring out". You mean like bellbottom trousers worn in Navy. The trend lines must be dead straight. Are you working your screens too hard, too hot ? :-)

today gold reversed at 100% symmetry 1445.8 but the C wave aint lookin finished. 1439.8 needs watching or above 1468.7 spells end of correction likely confirmed.

Dave on the weekly chart my t/line is from the all time high of July 08 and was broken on March 28th this yr (106.7). Its a downward sloping line and am using that as my simplistic way of determining if we are in for bigger gains or losses

btw are you looking to buy CL?

Dave, on daily this could be a leading diagonal.
