Discuss World Cup 2010
Pedro was well on his way of becoming the Man of the Match, with each action besting the previous one, until his atrociously selfish (and failed) attempt to score instead of passing it to thw wide open Torres. His immediate substitution was a resounding message, and this may have been his last game of the WCup.
It was good to see Iniesta finally step up his game and turning Lahm around. Also good for Del Bosque to have faith in Torres and putting him in. Xavi showed the world why he would ONLY be substituted in the event that he lost a leg, an arm or an eye. Anybody who has a son or daughter wanting to become a football player, tell them how the combination of selfconfidence (must back it up w/ skill & body control) and collectivity can defeat any machine out there. The Organization and Skill enabled Germany to punish Argentina, while Talent, One-Touch-Football and Constant-Running-off-the-ball lifted Spain above Germany.
Can anybody tell me where did Beckenbauer go? he usually speaks a lot before and after games but his absence ahead of the Spain game has been hugely promiscuous.
Finally, the final will have a remarkable concentration of elite of worldclass midfielders (Xavi Iniesta Villa Sneijder Vanderdart) and not even mentioninbg the obvious forwards.
More later.

Germany is playing indeed impressive tonight the hurdle Spain. Looking forward to the confrontation against Germany
In Rugby if that sort of a foul had taken place, A penalty try is given, where the "goal" is given.
That is much more fairer outcome, as the person who did that foul had done so in the hope that penalty will be screwed up, which happpended in the Uruguay and completely changed the out of the Game...
There is things that FIFA can learn from Rugby, eg the video replay, ... "play acting".... time wasting..
