Yes, Gunjack, memory is very short.
But Egypt and Middle East contagion are far from solved. But even without that SPX is poised for a pullback because sentimet is very frothy.
So if ES stays below 1290-92 I am expecting resumption of the downtrend some time by Thursday.
Also remember on Friday we hav NFP report.

P.S Qingyu, what I meant was that the maxxx CL could shoot - based on political speculation - was 94. But that was supposed to be it. It seems that things won't be as nasty...so we can go short now, I reckon.

BTW if anyone played the WTI-Brent spread wd have made v good money over last few days as that spread has narrowed

Egypt seems to be a fading memory for most day traders and algo robot who seem determined to ramp up ES and DJI. Option holders just gotta sit tight and hope logic prevails in this mad mkt

Dave, yes.
Shorted @ 1285 and 1287. Stops are just above 1290. Do not want to be a hero here. If the downside wants to resume, ES has no job above 1290.

Anyone going long on SPX or DJI to see it run up to 1300/1350 12000? Isn't it said that Jan will decide how Feb, etc will look like?

this was a great short term play to run things up for those who got caught in fri sell off..lets face it protesting is 1thing but disrupting the flow of oil will not happen,its well gaurded by military who have already made it clear they have no issues with the pl protesting-- so once they turned on the president it was pretty much over him...gl:)

yup i agree i have shorts @82.50-then 83+ time to get on the train.that would be the asad money train lol thanks for the heads up i was shorting anyways but it deffin feels better to hear u like it to lol..gl:)
