@Gunjack: I won't speculate about how to trade this news. My guess is only as good as yours, sorry.

Ahraf, i see when i wrote that it was looking like a market rally, interesting that the market wasn't impressed with Goldmans big results, in fact it seemed to add to the 'more regulation' argument.
The S&P analogy needs the Grim Reeper to come visiting , finally VIX maybe starting to twitch http://sentimentrader.blogspot.com/2009/07/vix-predicting-futureand-its-cloudy.html

Look like Intel giving currencies some legs up.

Wolf, PPI and retail sales were not good enough for the market as sales were propped by gas and autos and PPI was too high i.e. inflation ie. bad for markets. i mentioned that in IMT and in my tweets, hence, i called EURUSD earlier this morning to hit 1.3930 from 1.3980s. Overall FX positioning isnt very comfortable with aggressive gains in appetite. And yes, al eyes on that S&P right shoulder.

Carlco, Look at NZD tonight. how far did it go beyond that 0.6350 resistance? not too convinced with how far it can go beyond that.

As for the "fabled" S&P, well what can I say beyond what was already said.

NZDUSD why would that be short when we could have more S&P rally wouldn't that weaken USD and give a bit more legs to NZD ? VXN down to 25.83, 9month low, could this be another mini rally?
