TonyG, my final word on the Fed/US in general. My hope is that they will find a way through the current debt and deleveraging environment which is likely to persist for 10 years yet. All empires have been far from perfect and by the time they start to mature they lose their status as world leaders. I sincerely hope this is not about to happen with the USA.

USA are basically a peace loving nation of peoples. Most americans are extremely loveable people and not at all out for causing problems & grief beyond their borders, their problem like all (most) other nations is corruption in government.

The implications of the US losing their superpower control in the world as we see it today are nothing short of frightening and potentially disastrous. They have to find their way through gigantuan debt problems. Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture !

Qingyu, bringing down the FED is not going to be easy as the FED is a "state" within a state similar to the Vatican in Italy. However, given the large scale discontent around the world sooner or later people will wake up and start to march on the FED premises and demand its abolition. This can only be undertaken by the American people. Educating the masses is key as is a resolute leader for the cause. Politicians like Ron Paul are all talk and no action.
