VIX, Oil, BRICS & Sterling's Sell-Appeal

BRICS equity indices fail at key fib retracements, VIX and oil near major trend lines and sterling's sell-appeal hasn't looked this good in a while.

Rob, dont get too greedy and start to take profits around 150 then 148. GBP downtrend should remain until at least we touch 1.6050

Spec, the dollar-stocks relationship may show a more permanent change around Q4

kass..definitely smart at markets so i guess we can seriously take his view. he expects a weekeemed dollar next year but unable to give a time so not so helpful.

Hey Ashraf,

Hope you are enjoying your vacation --- wanted to thank you for telling to "wait it out" on my long USD/CAD. I might not have, glad I did.
Short GBP/JPY for a target of 148 as you suggest -- I just hope the UK data this week doesn't come in better than expected to goof that up.

Kass says the market has topped for the year. he called the 666 bottom and predicted a 1.050 high.

smiler, do not chase every pip in oil. Technicals are proving increasingly important, especially medium term horizon, hence the need to use weekly moving averages and trend lines on monthly charts. It is still VERY volatile.

Thanks Ashraf. I see the Inventories released at 15.30GMT have caused the price to shoot up. Do you see this as a good Shorting Opportunity?
